On 17th March 2008 our Excalibur 125 bollards were tested at TRL (Transport Research Laboratory) in Berkshire. Two tests were undertaken on indivdual bollards beginning with a 3.5t vehicle traveling at 48kph, followed by a 7.5t vehicle traveling at 32kph. Both tests were successful, and although the latter is not a PAS 68:2007 rated test , it was undertaken to prove that the bollard is capable of withstanding an accidental knock from a commercial vehicle and still function as a security bollard.
Testing on this bollard continues in April 2008. |
